You may feel stuck in your relationships and feel disconnected, lost, or alone. Or life changes may be leaving you frazzled, frustrated, depressed, or anxious. I would be honored to be part of your journey.
Hi, My name is Sally Ann, and I am a Licensed Professional Counselor, and a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist in the state of Texas. I completed my Master of Science degree in June of 2019 from Capella University and have also received the National Certified Counselor credential.
My passion is helping people rediscover their individual strengths, build resiliency, improve their relationships with others, and navigate new chapters in life. This encourages a sense of overall wellbeing and life satisfaction to emerge. I love helping people connect more effectively to others in their lives which allows for relationships to be renewed or for new relationships to be created.
I view counseling as a collaborative relationship and provide unconditional support meeting you where you are. This supportive environment allows you to work through unhelpful thought patterns and beliefs while discovering and cultivating personal strengths while improving coping skills to move you towards holistic wellness to allow you to begin living a purposeful life filled with opportunities.
I have completed Level 1 & 2 Training in Gottman Method Couples Therapy. I also have additional training in ACT and other mindfulness approaches, EMDR, and narrative approaches. These approaches allow me to customize counseling services to each client to help them overcome distressing events, persistent negative beliefs, and reconnect with people in their lives in a more positive meaningful way.
As a military spouse and mother to four children I am well versed in tackling life’s challenges knowing that sometimes we all need someone to help when we’ve gotten stuck. By focusing on building meaningful relationships, improving communication, and cultivating a sense of mindfulness and psychological flexibility we are able to begin allowing emotions and situations to pass through our lives without getting stuck in negative feelings like frustration, anxiety, or depression. If you are ready to being working to transform your relationships and develop emotional resiliency I would be honored to be part of your journey.
